Anger Management Classes

RCCR Provides Court Ordered and Agency Referred Anger Management Services for Kanawha, Putnam, Logan, Boone, Fayette, and Cabell counties. This program is also open to individuals without the need of any referral. In person classes, groups, and individual sessions available.


Classes are 8-12 weeks long depending on court-order or need based. Sessions are held once a week, with evening and daytime sessions available. Competitive and affordable pricing.

What to Expect From Anger Management Class

RCCR’s anger management program is geared towards providing participants with skills and techniques to use when they encounter conflict. The program aims to empower people to be their highest and best self through the use of learned skills, concepts, and self regulation. Anger is a normal human emotion that many people experience and we all can learn ways to handle it appropriately. You will learn to recognize situations that cause anger and how to control the anger when it does happen.

Some of the skills and techniques you will learn:

  • How to cool down when you’re angry

  • Identify the sources of your anger

  • Learn alternatives to arguing and fighting

  • Recognizing your personal triggers

  • Identify your conflict styles

  • Explore ways to solve issues

  • Negotiate with others to meet needs

Course Completion and Requirements

To receive a certificate of completion for the program you must attend every session, complete all homework and anger logs, and fully participate in every session.
