RAPID REHOUSING
Unsheltered Rapid Rehousing
This program helps families who are currently homeless to quickly find housing and then provide assistance to cover rental start-up costs, typically the security deposit and first 2-6 months of rent.
Rapid re-housing also provides case management, follow up, and referrals as needed with the goal that households receiving assistance through this program remain stable once they are no longer receiving financial assistance. This program serves families and individuals in Kanawha, Putnam, Fayette, and Boone Counties.

Reentry Rapid Rehousing
This pilot program aims to reduce recidivism and increase self-sufficiency by offering case management, rapid rehousing, job training and wraparound services to ensure each individual feels supported as they transition back into society. People exiting criminal justice without connections to society face major barriers to accessing housing and employment because of discrimination. Housing is critical to breaking the cycle between incarceration and homelessness, as national homelessness data indicates that people are more likely to be re-incarcerated if they lack stable housing.
